- Cardboard: rigid cardboard sheets or cardboard boxes, together with bubble wrap, are perfect for most cases;

- Methacrylate or wood: the methacrylate / wood boxes are ideal both for the transfer of paintings and for all kinds of works of art. Methacrylate or wooden boards are used to build custom cages (containers), in which the pieces of art are fixed, and their surroundings are protected with sheets that are made of polystyrene or rubber. These artwork packaging materials are more expensive and safe.

By naming packaging materials and evaluating them as safer or less safe, we do not offer to apply the most expensive to high value frames, and the simple and inexpensive packaging to low cost frames. The preparation of a painting for the trip and the professional treatment during its transportations never depends on its price in the market but on its characteristics and state of preservation. A painting by an unknown author and no market value (like any other object of transport), for the person who entrusts you to transport their goods, can have immense sentimental value. The goal must be unique - deliver the painting to the client in the same state of preservation. Furthermore, professionalism does not consist exclusively in the arrangement and use of special super-expensive containers and packaging, but rather in being able, applying different techniques, to guarantee the integrity and safety of the paint throughout the entire removal process: from its reception in the origin, its loading, its placement and fixation inside the vehicle, until its unloading and delivery at the destination. For example, there is little point in putting a painting in a special container, without immobilizing it inside the container itself (case), to avoid vibrations during the trip. It is almost better to wrap it with bubble wrap a couple of times and transport it in an upright position, held by the cardboard boxes with the rest of the moving objects, instead of carrying it in a "special" case without properly staggering it inside.
