Practical recommendations for proper evaluation of moving volume.
To correctly evaluate your move, the first step is to measure the volume of your belongings. If you are mainly transporting packages or rectangular objects (for example - boxes, suitcases, etc.), as shown in the photo (X*Z*Y), you can easily determine the cubic meters occupied by your load.
In the case of transporting large furniture, it must be disassembled beforehand and the dimensions of each part measured separately: part No.1 - X1*Z1*Y; part No.2 - Z2*X2*Y.
To ensure safety and integrity during transport, it is highly recommended to transport appliances (TVs, computers, etc.) and other delicate objects in their original packaging. If such packaging is not available (boxes, containers, cases, etc.), you should always take the extreme measurements of these objects (photo No.1 - X*X*Y; photo No.2 - X*Z*Y), as if they were already packed. In this way, you will avoid errors in volume calculations and, consequently, in organizing the entire transport process.
Furniture and appliances must be empty during transport and cannot contain other transport items to avoid damage to them.
All parts that are not fixed inside the objects must be removed, such as: trays, separators, drawers, etc.
This tool allows you to quickly manage all relevant aspects of your move: calculate the transport PRICE, estimate the approximate TIME of the move, know the VOLUME of your load and create a well-organized INVENTORY.
The fields in the first 7 rows of the Calculator (white background) are editable and are intended to enter the names, dimensions and quantities of the items you need to transport. The remaining fields, located in the dropdown sections ("MISCELLANEOUS HOUSEHOLD ITEMS", "LIVING ROOM", "BEDROOM AND OFFICE", etc.), are also editable and are pre-filled with the names and dimensions of the most common moving items. For your convenience, the items are grouped by their usual location in the home and sorted alphabetically. Check and adjust the entered data if necessary; if the data is correct, you will only need to modify the number of items you need to transport.
